Background and Challenges

ATRON CO was established in 2015 and is headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan. The company specializes in the development of in-vehicle computers and intelligent solutions. ATRON CO's service-to-market business model allows the company to excel in the delivery of customized services. In mid-2015, there was a significant increase in customer requests for faster product development. The necessity for large-scale production entails that factories maintain considerable inventories of raw materials and equipment.

In instances where small quantities are required on a regular basis or to bridge the gap between prototyping and full-scale production, low-volume manufacturing is the optimal solution. It provides the flexibility to accommodate design changes, market testing, and cost savings, enabling a comprehensive risk assessment prior to mass production.

Solution

Jarltech provides pilot production manufacturing services, ensuring precise attention to detail to meet customer production schedules. Our use of an ERP system allows us to maintain fast and accurate control over parts and materials, reassigning part numbers in the BOM and tracking inventory and locations efficiently.

This not only saves our customers valuable storage space but also eliminates the challenges of frequently sourcing small-volume materials with long lead times, such as SMT, DIP, testing, assembly, and packaging. Jarltech's engineering team is dedicated to streamlining assembly processes and identifying potential issues, enabling a thorough assessment of risks before mass production.

Application

ATRON CO's product has been eMark certified and features a vehicle/railway/marine box PC with high integration capabilities, including two full-size PCI Express Mini Card slots and one SIM card, making it a highly versatile device for transportation applications. The in-vehicle computer is an optimal solution for M2M intelligent systems in railway, marine, and vehicle applications.
