Junior Hardware Engineer
The Junior Hardware Engineer at Jarltech will be actively involved in product design and development activities with a specific focus on System on Module (SoM) products and various adapter/add-on boards tailored to project specifications. You will be responsible for gathering survey and research data, making recommendations and outlining production details to meet customer objectives and requirements. This role will act as the primary resource for all aspects of the project's technical solution, including board design, mechanical requirements, operating system solutions, testing and validation, and documentation development. The Product Manager will provide ongoing support through all stages of the product lifecycle, including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product lines.
Core Competence
- Compile engineering specifications for new ODM/OEM projects based on RFQs.
- Responsible for supervising features or improvements throughout the entire process, from ideation and gathering of requirements to reviewing implementation and release.
- Evaluate technical options and convey business requirements to the engineering team through the creation of responses to market requirement documents and thorough functional specifications.
- Coordinate with all relevant engineering teams to facilitate the engineering response to the document outlining market requirements.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to establish the schedule and plan for building prototypes.
- Work closely with and provide guidance to chipset vendors/manufacturers.
- Understand the technology and product roadmaps of the supplier.
- Work directly with project/program managers, marketing, operations, and quality teams to bring products to market.
- Coordinate the validation of new components for production products.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
> Knowledge of X86/RISC PC system architecture hardware design is necessary.
> Experience with Allegro/OrCAD Capture or comparable tools for designing schematics and layouts.
> Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
> Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
